Learn about the education we offer to users, caregivers, therapists, physicians, and more.
Our educational offerings
Partners in Medicine wants to be then just a ‘store’ where devices can be purchased. We want to also be a ‘school’ where users, caregivers, therapists, physicians, insurers, and other professionals can expand their knowledge about these new technologies.
These are complex devices, and we want you to feel comfortable with recommending, purchasing, and using them. So, we have developed the following educational opportunities:
- Two CEU courses to learn about upper limb devices – Upper Limb Robotics and Upper Limb Mobility Devices. Both courses are accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association for CEU credits.
- Arm Support Learning Program – This curriculum can be used by Occupational and Physical Therapists. It is designed to assist new arm support users to maximize their functional capabilities. Therapists may use this program to provide instructions and training on the use of an arm support and to help patients reach their goals. The program also measures outcomes to quantify arm support benefits for each individual.
- Hands-on Exhibits – Therapists, equipment providers, and users may want to test-drive these devices before recommending or trialing them. Partners in Medicine will be providing hands-on demonstrations throughout 2023.
- How to use your Jaco – See videos from a Jaco user on how to use Jaco for many activities you can perform in your daily life.
